About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) attachment for a federal moving and storage contract for the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Caribbean Florida Water Science Center. The solicitation (RFQ 140G0126Q0001) requires relocation services for the Tallahassee Field Office, involving approximately 10 employees and their office, warehouse, and laboratory equipment. The contractor will move items to temporary storage for 3-6 months before relocating to a new facility in Tallahassee, FL.

Key contract details include a small business set-aside with a $34M size standard, solicitation release on 11/20/2025, quote submission deadline of 12/4/2025, and anticipated contract award on 12/12/2025. The Q&A document provides critical logistical information, indicating that a site visit is recommended to assess inventory quantities, equipment specifications, storage requirements, and facility access constraints. Storage services will be priced monthly, with payment only for months actually utilized, and a maximum storage period of 6 months. Vendors must be registered in SAM.gov to be eligible for award, with quotes to be emailed to krschneider@usgs.gov.
