140G0122Q0059 Amendment 001 Questions and Answers

1) Is there a One Line diagram?

a. There is not.

2) Have the shutdown days been identified?

a. They have not, just need the correct amount of notice to coordinate the shut-down (5 days)

3) How many days would that be?

a. I do not have the answer to that, it would depend on the contractor. (no more than 24 hrs at a time)

4) Would the contractor be responsible for a generator to ensure all items are still working during the transition?

a. Yes

5) Is the new panel MCB or MLO?

a. MCB

6) Will the new panel require breakers fill?

a. Yes

7) Will the new transformer require primary & secondary voltage?

a. Yes Delta 3 phase 240 main, WYE 3 phase 480 secondary

8) What is the KVA for the transformer?

a. The transformer must support a 200-amp load

9) Will the transformer require a wall mount kit?

a. Yes

10) Can we still set up a site visit to come and view the project details?

a. Contact Corey McClanahan, cmcclanahan@usgs.gov, (573) 875-5399 at least 3 business days prior to the revised closing date for the solicitation.

11) Is an electrical license from another state acceptable?

a. The Office of Statewide Electrical Contractors in Missouri stated that the Missouri state license is an optional license and is not a requirement. Please see Missouri Statue 324.915 for work exempt from statutory requirements. If you do not hold a statewide license, you will need to contact the local political subdivisions (city or county in Missouri) for more information.
