Requisition for Repair Support Services, Repairs, and Upgrade Parts for YSI, Hydrotech, and Hydrolab Equipment Statement of Work
SECTION C – DESCRIPTIONS/SPECIFICATIONS
Background
The U.S. Geological Survey, Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF), has a requirement for repair support services for YSI, Hydrotech, and Hydrolab brand equipment including water quality sondes, sensors, and cables. The repair services are needed to support HIF’s rental program, as well as repairs for water Science Center-owned equipment. HIF currently conducts a nationwide rental program to support Water Science Center data collection programs with over 3,500 items on rent. In addition, HIF services customer-owned equipment that is sent to HIF for repair and calibration. Over time, partly due to the harsh environmental conditions in which the equipment is used, the equipment needs repair and servicing work. Repair work is often needed after the equipment warranty period has expired, and the work required is beyond the capabilities of HIF.
This equipment is used at thousands of USGS field gaging stations located all over the United States. The equipment is needed to measure and collect water quality data about the Nations’ fresh water resources.

The repair estimate shall be provided to the Government within 14 days after receipt of the shipment.
The Government shall approve/disapprove of the repair, in writing to the vendor, within 7 days of receiving the estimate.
