About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation 140FS325Q0123, a termite treatment contract for the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge. The solicitation requires installation and monitoring of a Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System across three buildings with approximately 1,178 linear feet of perimeter. Key service requirements include initial bait station installation, quarterly monitoring visits, emergency response within 24-48 hours, and proper waste disposal. Post-award submittals will be required, including documentation of pesticide applicator licenses, product certifications, and a detailed project timeline.
The contract covers the base period through August 1, 2026, with potential optional renewal periods. Contractors must provide their own detailed quotes and are responsible for all necessary tools, equipment, and labor for installation, including minor obstruction removal. The Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service specifically mandates the use of Sentricon bait stations and requires contractors to coordinate directly with refuge staff. A site visit is scheduled for Monday, 8/18 at 11am, with the visitor center open Wednesday through Sunday from 9am-4pm for additional access.
