About this file
This document is a Product Specifications sheet for a UCR Fish Screen required by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) under the Upper Colorado River Recovery Program. The specification details the procurement of one fish screen consisting of six panels, each measuring 48 inches wide by 80 inches long. The screen material must be constructed of metal suitable for water submersion, preferably aluminum for weight considerations, with rounded bars to prevent injury to small fish. The aperture width between screen bars must be less than one-half inch to exclude fish wider than that dimension. Wedge-wire style screens do not meet requirements. All screens must be mounted in metal frames to facilitate installation into an existing water control structure at a wetland site.
Pricing must be quoted FOB Destination, with the contractor bearing all delivery, packing, marking, and shipping costs to the delivery location at 445 West Gunnison Avenue, Suite 140, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501. Delivery is required no later than X days after receipt of order, with the contractor responsible for ensuring goods arrive in good condition and for any loss or damage prior to receipt by the consignee. The contractor must contact the Technical Point of Contact, Travis Francis (Travis_francis@fws.gov, 970-287-9346), no later than three days prior to delivery to arrange a specific delivery time. The delivery vehicle must be equipped with a liftgate, as the government will provide no labor or equipment for unloading. Inspection and acceptance will be conducted by the USFWS Contracting Officer's Representative in accordance with FAR 52.212-4(a).
