Amendment 0001 Solicitation 140FHR25R0001 Questions and Responses:

1. Do you require the drawings to have a Professional Engineering Stamp?

Yes

2. Can the bid due date be extended to the end of January? With the holidays right around the corner, we would need more time to develop the bid information and the technical section.

The solicitation will be extended to 1/28/2025.

3. Can the equipment delivery date be extended to at least 180 working days instead of 140 days upon contract award? Once a PO is provided, we need to allow time for submittal development, submittal approval, receipt of downpayment, prior to even starting production of the equipment.

The delivery date will be extended to 200 days from the contract award.

4. Are you open to staggered delivery of equipment to the hatchery site/ over a couple months?

A single delivery is preferred; however, a staggered delivery may be considered with proper justification. Please include a detailed delivery plan with your documentation.

5. Please provide DO and TGP readings of the inlet, as well as water temperature.

These values vary throughout the year here are some reading from May 2023.

Yes this requirement is confirmed.

7. What are these dimensions of the raceways? Inner wall to wall length is 8ft (what’s the concrete tolerance on that dimension)? Wall Thickness (outside and inner walls? Hole penetration depth to rebar structure?

See attached as built drawings for raceway dimensions. The facility was constructed in the 1960’s and the characteristics of the concrete are unknown.

8. What type of concrete are the walls made of? Can we use wedge expansion anchor bolts to secure our support structure to raceways?

9. What is the distance to the center wall from the front wall?

See attached as built drawings.

10. There seems to be two channels cut into the concrete raceway wall. Is the 46” dimension from existing raceway wall to the first cut or the second, and can the second be used?

See attached as built drawings. One channel must remain functional for hatchery operations.

11. Are the concrete walls level? And if not, how much tolerance should we account for?

See attached as built drawings for raceway dimensions. The as built documents appear to indicate that the concrete race wall walls were level. All conditions must be field verified.

12. Will the center mixed flow wall need to be accessible and removed?

The center mixed flow wall will need to be accessible and functional.

13. How far do you wish the unit to rotate?

The unit must be rotate enough to accommodate all maintenance and cleaning requirements.

14. Distance of incoming pipe from the external side wall of the raceway?

See attached as built drawings for raceway dimensions. All conditions must be field verified as supply pipes dimensions in relation to the raceway vary.

17. Please provide the distance from ceiling to top of the raceway

The ceilings height is approximately 9’ AFF and raceway wall height is approximately 2’

AFF.

18. Can we design our own support system for the 8” columns or does it need to be by the drawing? If so, please provide more details drawings of the support section Yes, contractors can design support systems to fit equipment and applications. Detailed drawings must be submitted to government for approval.
