About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document (Amendment 4) for Solicitation #140FGA26Q0052 regarding the Seney National Wildlife Refuge Show Pool Shelter Replacement and Site Restoration project.
The document addresses a single technical inquiry regarding the specifications for tongue and groove (T&G) ceiling material, specifically clarifying whether structural T&G was intended and how metal paneling should be fastened to it given the span dimensions. The response directs contractors to refer to the revised drawing sheet SNY523A0 for roof timber spacing revisions, which supersedes all previous versions of that drawing sheet. Additionally, the response requires contractors to submit a deferred design submittal per specification 133000 1.03.B that must include assembly dimensions, locations of structural members, connections, roof panel layout, general construction details, anchors and anchorage methods, framing anchor bolt settings with sizes and locations from datum, foundation loads, welded connections per AWS A2.4 standards with welding symbols and net weld lengths, and must be sealed and signed by a licensed professional. The accompanying drawing sheets illustrate the show pool shelter floor plan, reflected ceiling plan, and various elevations showing the structure's configuration including timber columns, metal roof components, and concrete footings.

Questions & Answers - Amendment 4
Seney NWR Show Pool Shelter Replacement and Site Restoration
Solicitation # 140FGA26Q0052 Questions and Answers
1. The specifications for the tongue and groove (T&G) on the ceiling do not indicate a size.
I believe the span is greater than what typical T&G would recommend. Could you please clarify if this is structural T&G? If it is not, how should we fasten the metal paneling to it?
Response: Refer to attached revised drawing sheet SNY523A0 for roof timber spacing revisions.
This drawing sheet supersedes previous SNY523A0 drawing sheets.
In addition, the contractor shall provide a deferred design submittal “indicating assembly dimensions, locations of structural members, connections, roof panel layout, general construction details, anchors and methods of anchorage and installation; framing anchor bolt settings, sizes, locations from datum, and foundation loads,; indicate welded connections with AWS A2.4, welding symbols; indicate net weld lengths,; provide professional seal and signature” per specification 133000 1.03.B.
