About this file

This is a Statement of Work for a construction project at the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Folkston, Georgia, issued by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service dated August 26, 2026.

The contractor shall install twelve electrical outlets in the ceiling of Exhibit 101 and Hall 106 of the Visitor Center. All outlets must be installed on a dedicated circuit to allow independent control of exhibit lighting separate from main lighting, utilizing rigid metal conduit (RMC) consistent with existing electrical installation. The exhibit track lighting powered by these outlets will draw approximately 9 amps total. All materials, products, components, and fasteners must be manufactured in the USA with documentation, and the Buy American Act will be strictly enforced. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, supplies, supervision, and equipment; removing all resulting trash and debris; and coordinating work activities with the refuge and Prime Contractor on an active multi-trade construction site. Submittals must include product specifications, materials, fasteners, finishes, warranties, and Buy American Act compliance documentation, all subject to Government approval. The performance period begins 10 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed and extends for 90 calendar days. Onsite utilities and facilities will not be provided to contractors or subcontractors. Technical and site questions should be directed to Michael Lusk, Refuge Manager, at (912) 206-6304, while contractual questions should be directed to the Contract Specialist.
