About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers file dated March 27, 2025, related to a roof repair solicitation for the Windom Wetland Management District Maintenance Shop. Key details include confirmation that there is no incumbent contractor, and payment will be processed through IPP.gov upon work completion. The document addresses several specific questions about the roof repair project, including the extent of damage (estimated three metal panels need replacement, with potential for more), building construction year (2007), and site-specific restrictions such as no drone inspections being allowed on the property.

The Q&A clarifies that the solicitation is specifically seeking roof repairs, not a full roof replacement, and no permit is required from the City of Windom. The contracting agency did not confirm the origin of the Butler roof's metal/steel panels or whether there is additional damage underneath the existing panels. Contractors are informed that pictures will be uploaded to Sam.gov, and they are advised to prepare a detailed quote that includes inspection of visible and non-visible damage, accurate measurements, materials, equipment needs, and color matching for repair and installation.
