Amendment 0001 – Responses to Questions – Posted 07/06/2022

Q&A 1 Question: What is FWS currently paying for services described in the solicitation?

Response: n/a, this is a new requirement

Q&A 2 Question: Is onsite storage for equipment (vacuum cleaners, mop buckets, cleaning supplies) available at the headquarters building and the fire/maintenance compound?

Response: No, there is not any space provided to accommodate onsite contractor storage.

Q&A 3 Question: Is the contractor expected to remove all the graffiti in the vault toilets?

Response: Yes, if there is graffiti, the contractor should try to wipe it off with a cleaner and a rag. If the graffiti is still visible, the Janitorial Log should be noted and the Technical Coordinator should be notified so it can be painted over.

Q&A 4 Question: Is the contractor expected to remove wasp nests/spider eggs from vault toilet entry ways?

Response: Yes, if cobwebs, and/or spider-webs are found inside the restrooms or the entrance ways, they should be removed with a broom or something similar. The refuge will provide the Contractor with bee/wasp spray for use prior to entering the restrooms.

Q&A 5 Question: Is the contractor responsible for cleaning taxidermy mounts in the headquarters building?

Response: Yes, the mounts should be cleaned with a light duster only to remove any cobwebs.

Q&A 6 Question: Is annual pressure washing of trailhead restrooms meant to be interior and exterior?

Response: Yes, both interior and exterior is expected to be pressure washed so all bug nests and debris can be removed.
