About this file

This document is a Rules & Regulations agreement for tenant employees occupying government-provided housing at the Winnemucca fire station quarters units operated under the US Wildland Fire Service (USWFS) - Winnemucca District in Nevada. The document establishes mandatory conduct standards and operational requirements for all residents as a condition of occupying the quarters, emphasizing that housing occupancy is a privilege subject to revocation for rule violations.

Key requirements include: maintaining professional conduct on and off duty; prohibiting excessive noise, pets, and smoking inside units (with immediate eviction for smoking violations); keeping units clean and sanitary; restricting cooking to units with stoves and microwaves only in applicable units; managing trash properly and prohibiting combustible or hazardous material disposal; securing doors during absences and providing management access authority; prohibiting alcohol consumption outside residences and illegal drug use with threat of prosecution and job dismissal; limiting guest stays to two consecutive days; enforcing posted speed limits with potential eviction for violations; maintaining smoke alarms and fire extinguishers without removal; and prohibiting auto repairs, gasoline storage, and barbecue use on patios. Misconduct is defined as intentional rule violations or local law violations including disturbing the peace, drug activity, theft, arson, property destruction, and violence or harassment, with required reporting to both law enforcement and fire management followed by immediate eviction. Residents must obtain prior written consent for any unit alterations, use designated parking only, and are responsible for vehicle maintenance cleanup and associated costs. Fire Management Staff retains authority to conduct periodic inspections, add or modify regulations, and enforce all rules.
