About this file

This is an Amendment of Solicitation for RFQ 140D0426Q0528, issued by the Interior Business Center, Acquisition Services Directorate on May 29, 2026. Amendment 0003 incorporates responses to five industry questions regarding a mural conservation project. The solicitation is not extended, and the period of performance is July 12-17, 2026, with actual on-site work commencing Monday, July 13, 2026.

The key project details include conservation treatment of two wood panel murals, each measuring 60" wide by 34" high, mounted 87" from the floor. The work will be performed at a museum facility (MPI) that will provide necessary equipment including ladders, lifts, tables, power, lighting, water, ventilation, and secure storage. Contractors are responsible for supplying all conservation materials, solvents, coatings, and adhesives without restrictions. The final treatment report and maintenance recommendations may be submitted off-site within 10 to 15 business days following completion of on-site work. No restrictions apply regarding materials or photography based on museum, tribal, cultural, or security considerations, as all collection items will be segregated from the conservation workspace.
