About this file

This is an amendment to a Combined Synopsis Solicitation issued by the United States Department of the Interior, Interior Business Center for solicitation number 140D0426Q0436.

The amendment notifies offerors that Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.225-8 Duty-Free Entry is anticipated to apply to this acquisition for a robotic arm valued over $20,000 that is being imported. Offerors must clearly outline any tariff costs in their price quotes. Upon confirmation from US Customs and Border Protection that duty-free entry is applicable, the Contracting Officer reserves the right to remove tariff pricing from quotes for best value evaluation purposes, remove tariff pricing prior to award and incorporate the reduced price into the contract, and incorporate FAR 52.225-8 into the resulting award. Offerors are required to cooperate with the Contracting Officer and US Customs and Border Protection to complete all necessary paperwork to ensure duty-free entry when applicable. Additionally, offerors must ensure that all costs within the firm-fixed-price proposal are fully detailed and itemized on the price quote.
