About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a Request for Quote (RFQ) related to a truck bed installation for a Ford F-550 vehicle. The Q&A addresses four key points: (1) the RFQ is for upfitting one vehicle, (2) LED lights are not required in toolbox compartments, (3) standard D-ring tie downs are acceptable in place of additional L-track, and (4) vehicle transportation is limited to within 100 miles of the specified Las Vegas address, with any distance beyond that being the contractor's responsibility.

The file includes two images: the first is a white Ford F-550 with a truck bed, and the second shows similar vehicles with black utility truck beds, noting that the specific F-550 has dual fuel tanks and a crew cab. These images provide visual reference for the type of vehicle and bed installation being solicited under the Department of the Interior Departmental Offices Interior Business Center contract opportunity for a "Steel Utility Truck Bed and Installation" project.

Questions and Answers

1. Question: Is the RFQ for upfitting one vehicle or two?

Answer: One (1) vehicle

2. Question: The "LED TOOLBOX" provision- is this requesting to install LED lights in the compartments of the body?

Answer: Do not need LED lights installed inside the toolboxes.

3. Question: In the RFQ it calls for "4 airline track tie downs along with 4 attachment rings" This sounds like additional L-track that would be bolted to the bed. If that's not the case, would the standard D-ring tie downs already installed in the bed suffice?

Answer: Yes, that should suffice. 4 tie down.

4. Question: How would transportation of the vehicle be handled for locations outside the 100 miles radius from the address 4701 N Torrey Pines Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89130?

Answer: The distance the Government intends to drop-off and pick-up the vehicle is no greater than 100 miles from the address specified in the RFQ. Any distance over the 100 miles is the responsibility of the contractor.
