About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 140A1625R0009 regarding VMWare Support for the Department of Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Information Technology. The document addresses five key questions related to the procurement, including clarification that the size standard has been updated to 150 employees, confirmation that ISBEEs who are authorized Federal resellers for Broadcom can comply with subcontracting limitations, and clarification that Technical Adoption Manager (TAM) and Support Account Manager (SAM) will remain in the PWS despite Broadcom classifying these as products rather than services.
The Q&A confirms this will be a hybrid Firm-Fixed-Price/Time and Materials contract, rather than purely FFP as originally stated in the PWS. It also maintains that services can include travel requirements despite Broadcom's typical remote delivery model. The procurement appears to be for Broadcom products and services (formerly VMware) that must be sourced through an authorized Broadcom distributor.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1. Please confirm if the size standard for 541519 is less than 150 employees or $34M.
A. We have updated the size standard to 150 employees
2. This is a Brand Name request for Broadcom products and services that must be sourced through an authorized Broadcom distributor. The required products and services cannot be provided by an ISBEE/IEE company or any small business. Please remove the limitations on subcontracting clauses listed below, or mark them as not applicable:
· 1452.280-3 Indian Economic Enterprise subcontracting limitations
· 52.219-14 LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING
A. Any ISBEE that can provide the requested supplies and services as an authorized Federal reseller for Broadcom will be considered in compliance with these clauses.
3. Requesting TAM and SAM (referenced in bullets below) be removed from page 2 of Attachment 1 - PWS. Broadcom has advised that they classify the TAM and SAM as products and not a traditional service that should be included in the PWS.
· VCF Technical Adoption Manager (TAM)
· Support Account Manager (SAM) A. We are leaving these in the PWS, but acknowledge that Broadcom classifies these as products and not services.
4. Requesting Section 7, Travel, be removed from page 2 of Attachment 1 – PWS, or updated to state “services will be performed remotely”. Broadcom has advised travel is not included in the cost for services. It is our understanding these services have previously been performed remotely and will be performed remotely on any forthcoming contract.
A. No, this section of the PWS will not be changed and should not affect pricing.
5. The RFQ states that this will be a hybrid FFP/Time and Materials contract. Section 6 of the Attachment 1 - PWS states this will be a FFP contract. Please confirm what type of contract will be awarded.
A. The PWS has been updated to reflect a hybrid FFP/T&M type contract.
