About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ 140A0726Q0006, issued by the Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs for furniture design, installation, and removal services at the Southwest Region Division of Transportation facility. The Q&A document addresses vendor inquiries regarding facility access, workspace specifications, electrical and data infrastructure, and project scope clarifications received between April 6-8, 2026. The revised bid deadline is April 30, 2026.
Key project requirements include removal of seven existing mauve-colored cubicles with desks and cabinets, installation of new modular office furniture according to a provided design layout, and installation of electrical and IT infrastructure. The facility has standard elevators near the entrance and a loading dock at the rear; however, freight elevators are not available. Contractors must perform work during normal business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM local time. Each cubicle requires two electrical outlets—one near floor level and one power strip on or near height-adjustable desks—plus one duplex receptacle per station. Data connections will reuse existing lines and must support Cat 6 specifications. The government will arrange separately with the building owner for new wall outlets, patching, painting, and power/data routing for relocated equipment such as televisions. Existing furniture is considered excess and contractors may dispose of it as desired. Mechanical plans and CAD files are available for contractor reference, with the communications and data closet located approximately 100 feet from the office area in room 314 on the same floor.
