About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for OSHA 10 Workplace Safety and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certifications issued by Dallas Independent School District's Postsecondary Partnerships and Programs department. The document seeks qualified vendors to provide OSHA-compliant training and certification for high school students operating Powered Industrial Trucks, including forklifts and pallet jacks. The program will deliver a workforce readiness training program with classroom instruction, hands-on experience, and industry-recognized safety certifications, targeting 12 cohorts annually and serving approximately 240 students (20 students per cohort). The training will be conducted over two consecutive days (Friday and Saturday) and will include OSHA 10 Workplace Safety and PIT certifications, with the goal of supporting Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways and preparing students for careers in logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing.

The pricing structure requires vendors to submit an itemized per-student pricing proposal covering multiple service components, including PIT and OSHA 10 certifications, training materials, food, transportation, student incentives, and a career fair. The not-to-exceed budget for student incentives is $50 per student, with a maximum of 240 students allocated. Additional costs include teacher incentives of $200 per teacher (up to 2 teachers per cohort, totaling 24 teachers). Vendors must include all labor, materials, transportation, insurance, and administrative costs in their proposal. The evaluation criteria will assess vendors based on their experience with OSHA-compliant training, ability to customize training for school-based environments, certification capacity, curriculum quality, cost-effectiveness, and demonstrated ability to coordinate career events with verified employment opportunities.
