About this file

This document is a Request for Competitive Bids (RFB) issued by the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District (CMPDD) on behalf of the Southcentral Mississippi Works (SCMW) Workforce Development Area, a consortium of seventeen counties in southwest and central Mississippi. The RFB is soliciting service providers to provide a turn-key solution for Light Brigade Fiber Fusion Splicing Equipment, Consumables, and Supplies for two training labs. The RFB outlines the required equipment, supplies, and consumables, and provides details on the bid submission process, including a mandatory bidder's conference on September 13, 2024, a question submission deadline of September 18, 2024, and a bid due date of September 27, 2024. The contract period is expected to begin on September 16, 2024, and end on June 30, 2024, with the option to renew for up to three additional program years.

The RFB specifies that the purchase will be based on the actual cost of the equipment, consumables, and supplies, and that bids must include a comprehensive list of all equipment, consumables, and supplies, as well as detailed shipping costs. The RFB also outlines the bid evaluation criteria, which will consider cost-effectiveness, technical compliance, quality and reliability, delivery and lead time, and post-sale support. SCMW reserves the right to reject any bid and not issue a sub-award if the proposed services are deemed unnecessary or the costs are unreasonable.
