About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the replacement of an Exhaust Scrubber System at the NIST Gaithersburg Campus, Building 215. The project requires a contractor to remove and replace the existing system with an identical new system, maintaining the same form, fit, function, operating parameters, and capacities. The work must comply with the latest EPA codes and standards, and involve rigging of the scrubber system, steel support frames, and a 300-gallon chemical mixing tank.
Key project specifications include a 300-day performance period, minimal disruption to the 24/7 facility operations, and specific contractor requirements such as disposing of the existing system, providing all safety equipment, and submitting various documentation within 7-15 days of task order award. The contractor must also obtain Green NIST PIV badges, conduct weekly status meetings, and adhere to strict safety and security protocols. The project is part of a larger Mechanical Construction IDIQ contract with a total maximum quantity of $8,000,000, set aside for small businesses.
