Pre-solicitation Notice IT Support Services - 1305M319RNFFS0008

Questions and Answers

1. Would you be able to share the name of the incumbent contractor?

Answer: Ace Info Solutions contract number AB-133F-16-NC-0118.

2. Can you confirm that the existing contract expires August 28, 2019?

Answer: Yes.

3. Does the $349K mod (P19003) issued on February 28, 2019 fund the contract to the end of the POP (August 28, 2019)?

Answer: No, this mod did not change the period of performance end date. Performance on the contract will stop on August 28, 2019.

4. Can work be done remotely, if so under what tasks?

• Task 1 – Improvement and Maintenance to Database Systems (10%);

• Task 2 - Applications Development Support for Operation & Maintenance of existing fisheries systems (85%); and

• Task 3 – Infrastructure Support in Juneau and Anchorage (5%)

Answer: Tasks 1 and 2 can be done remotely depending upon the project, its complexity and the need for intricate face to face planning and coordination. Decisions on offsite resources will be made on a resource by resource basis.

Task 3 is Tier 1 help desk support and must be done onsite.

5. Could you please tell me if the pre-solicitation posted as solicitation number 1305M319RNFFS0008 on FBO contains requirements similar to any work performed currently or in the past, or will this be a new requirement?

Answer: The pre-solicitation captures the entire suite of work in our current contract at a similar volume. We expect the volume to continue into the new contract. The difference between the existing contract and the pre-solicitation is the incorporation of discrete FFP projects that will absorb about 40% of our future contractor workload.

6. What is the level of effort?

Answer: Our past volume has been about 31,000 hours per year spread across all labor categories. We expect a similar need over the next 3 years.
