AMENDMENT 0001

This amendment is being issued to make changes and corrections to the Solicitation, provide responses to questions received from Contractors, and supply additional reference documents as follows:

Question 1. What Engines are on these aircraft?

Answer 1. The engines are PT6A-27 .

Question 2. I just saw a requirement in the SOW (section A.2) that states the contractor must be located within 150 miles of either of the bases (KFMH & KHYA). Is this an actual requirement for eligibility to bid, or a suggestion? If we had a satellite location within the 150 radius, would that qualify us?

Answer 2. If this is stated within the SOW and solicitation then its a requirement. If you have a satellite location within the required 150 miles than you may bid as long as that location is registered in SAMS and has an active valid DUNs .

Corrections to the solicitation are below.

Evaluation Factors

Describe the quoter’s overall experience, years in business, and ability to accomplish the work. Number of inspections, relevancy of work, and recency of work. Provide the amount of similar work accomplished in the previous 12 months. Attachments I – Past Performance Information Form and Attachment II Past Performance Questionnaire are to be submitted along with the quote to be submitted.

AMENDMENT 0001

3) Location of the contractor’s facility -Projected mission locations and schedules of NOAA Twin Otter fleet will be considered and the proximity to (KHYA) Barnstable Municipal Airport and (KFMH) Cape Cod Coast Guard Air Station will be evaluated due to the majority if the work being performed at that location. Contractor's facility shall be located within 150 miles of these airfields.

4) Provide the average time to complete an EMMA inspection (EMMA #5 is the basis for this criteria), propeller replacement including airframe / engine rigging adjustments and dynamic balancing, engine borescope inspection, and a starter-generator overhaul.

5) Capacity to provide maintenance support for Aircraft-on-Ground (AOG) situations throughout the United States, Alaska and Canada.
