Pre-Construction Meeting – June 7, 2018

Pono Pacific – Shannon Lopez 677 Ala Moana Boulevard Suite 1200 Honolulu, HI 96813 lei.leong@ponopacific.com

Q: Are wire strainers required? Can we use tension ”sticks” instead?

A: Wire strainers are required. Although tension sticks work fine, wire strainers will allow us to tighten the tension of the H-braces after it has had time to settle over a few months.

Q: Can we use rebar as a substitute for the pin that support the horizontal member of the H-Brace?

A: No. That pin must be made from galvanized steel

Q: Can we put in 10-hour days? We could get it done faster.

A: No, work must be done within normal business hours of the PMC

Tri-L Construction, Inc. – Darryl Leer P.O. Box 898 10 Manawainui Bridge Kaunakakai, HI 96748 manager@tri-l-inc.com

Q: The gate size you specified is hard to find. Can we fabricate the gates ourselves?

A: Yes. As longs as the gates are the specified size, of galvanized material, and free from rust, you may fabricated the gates.

Q: Are there any irrigation lines that may get in our way.

A: There is [1] area where you will come close to existing water lines, but I am confident that they will not get in your way.
