About this file
This document contains a brand name justification for a federal contract opportunity. The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Jimmy Carter Plant Materials Center requires a Westrup LA-H Seed Brushing Machine with specific accessory items including sets of mantles in sizes 5, 7, and 12 as well as sets of brushes in medium, stiff, and rubber beater varieties. Market research found no equivalent equipment available and determined procurement from the original manufacturer was necessary due to the machine's unique size and features suited for small-scale laboratory seed processing. The estimated price for the equipment is also included. Interested vendors may submit quotes by specified deadlines to the USDA employees listed referencing the solicitation number 12FPC424Q0013 for this small-scale seed brushing machine acquisition.
