About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document from a site showing held on May 5, 2026, for the Daughtery Site project.
The document addresses six clarifications regarding solicitation requirements and site conditions. Contractors must acknowledge all amendments and check attachments for updates when submitting bids, with the online posting maintaining the most current information. The scientific name for redtop grass is identified as agrostis gigantea. The specification and bid schedule have been updated regarding tile exploration requirements and per-unit cost submissions. Contractors are responsible for any damages to county roads, water crossings, culverts, and road right-of-way during mobilization and demobilization, and must coordinate with the road commissioner to determine allowable equipment loads on culverts near the site. Haul roads do not require seeding upon project completion; however, contractors must grade all disturbed areas and haul roads to original pre-construction conditions at their expense, and these roads require Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) approval. Stream crossings are not preferred, but contractors may submit proposals to the COTR for crossing consideration. Any stream crossing proposal must address pipe installation procedures, channel hydrology and hydraulics with the installed crossing, and removal and rebuilding requirements to restore pre-construction conditions, with all associated expenses borne by the contractor and subject to COTR review and approval.
