Questions & Answers
12FPC321Q0076
Q: Is it presumable that an engineering consultant could submit a bid as the 'contractor', which includes the services of a drilling contractor, or is it necessary that the bid response include the drilling contractor as the 'contractor', and their bid would need to incorporate the costs of engineering consulting services for the field oversight, soils analyses, and reports?
A: The solicitation is open to small business vendors qualified to provide the required services under the applicable NAICS code.
Q: Do you know if any of the four locations will require construction of road access to complete the work, or would all locations be accessible by track rig? Which locations might require tree cutting? Are boring locations pre-determined?
A: All four locations currently have road access and do not need additional construction for access to the site by the drilling rig. It is anticipated that the bore locations would be at the edge of the existing road and should not require the cutting of any trees with a chainsaw. The boring locations will be located on both the upstream and downstream edges of the road at the approximate abutment locations.
Q: If there are more detailed site maps for each location, are those available for review to better assess accessibility and other issues that would affect mob/demob costs, and estimates for time and materials.
A: Updated map included.
