QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
USDA FPAC NRCS AUDIO VIDEO CONFERENCE ROOM EQUIPMENT, INSTALLATION,
AND TRAINING
12FPC224Q0058
Question 1 - Are there any automation requirements for the divisible training room? For example, would you like for the system(s) to automatically detect when the room is combined and when it is divided?
Response – We do not require any such automation such as an intuitive system that will determine when the room is divided. However, we still require the ability to conduct two separate/simultaneous meetings when we divide the room.
Question 2 - Are they any special requirements or localized permitting process required to work in wall or above the ceiling? Per discussion with local staffs yesterday, power outlet and network cabling installation/relocation and installation of required wall support services are to be included as part of the response/quote. Please confirm.
Response – The only requirements are that the customer (NRCS) obtains building owner permission to alter the room. We are currently working on that and don’t see any issue.
Question 3 - It was mentioned by local NRCS resources that recommendations could be made towards the specifications in the solicitation. Based on the room size, is it possible to select a specific monitor specification for Side A, currently 86” – 100" in size, and 65” – 86” in size for Side B? Recommended for best user experience:
Side A – 98” in size and Side B 65” in size.
Response – We agree that 98” monitor in Side A and 65” monitor in Side B will meet our needs.
