RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS

Question 1:Is funding available for this requirement?
Answer:Yes. Funding is currently available for the base year of this requirement.
Question 2:Do you have a copy of the previous solicitation issued for this requirement?

Question 3:Who is the incumbent? What is the total value of the existing contract?
Answer:The incumbent is Cindarella’s. The total value of the existing contract is $155,482.39.
Question 4:What is the annual value of the contract?
Answer:The annual value of the existing contract is $38,341.20.
Question 5:Do I need to notify the Contracting Officer in advance of any plan to subcontract this requirement?
Answer:Page 39 of the SF-1449 indicates that “the Contractor shall request approval from the Contracting Officer prior to entering into any subcontract arrangement.” Written notification to Contracting Officer must include the information within the contents of the subheading Approval of Subcontracting, on page 39.
Question 6:What is the total square footage of the building?
Answer:The square footage of the building is approximately 22,000 feet.
Question 7:What should be done with locked office doors?
Answer:Locked offices and storage should be left unserviced.
Question 8:What are the white round pieces of equipment in select hallways?
Answer:Air purifiers.
Question 9:How long is the contract for?
Answer:4 years. One base year and three option years.
Question 10:What does it mean for cleaning to start during office hours?
Answer:Services should commence before the office closes at 4:30PM, but should extend into the time after the office closes. For instance, services could commence at 3:00PM and end at 7:00PM.
Question 11:How many employees work at the location?
Answer:There are 101 full time employees and 29 temporary/seasonal employees. Occasional trainings and meetings are held in the facility, mostly during the summer months.
Question 12:What should be done with the recycle bins?
Answer:There are several blue recycle bins throughout the facility. On Monday nights, these receptacles should be placed outside the front door by the contractor. Employees will bring these into the facility after they have been serviced, on Tuesdays.
Question 13:The solicitation mentions the hosing down of the front walkways. Does the vendor need to provide a hose?
Answer:Yes. The contractor is to provide a standard hose. The Forest Service will provide a hydrant valve handle.
Question 14:Who will install the hand soap dispensers?
Answer:The contractor is to provide and install hand soap dispensers in each restroom.
