Dorm E, B7-Education, and B15-Wellness Center.

d. Payment: The contract lump sum price as shown in the Schedule of Items includes all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals to:

1) Each building equipment list is provided. The equipment may be newer, but all equipment was replaced in kind recently.

2) The AE needs to determine if the current mechanical systems are providing adequate ventilation, make up air, and outside air in each building listed in c.

3) AE to determine on B5-Dorm D, and B6-Dorm E if the exhaust fans on the edge of the roof are connected to the mechanical system, operational, needed, etc.

b. Payment: The contract lump sum price as shown in the Schedule of Items includes all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals to:

MULTIPLE CENTER AE SOW/TO-5

1) Lift Station located at Building 32-2, Pump House, needs a backup generator sized to run the lift station. The construction documents shall contain everything for the system to have a back power source.

2) Evaluate using engineering practices and principles, industry standards, and current ICC International Codes and current NFPA standards.

3) Provide the following for review in stages(a-c):

a) Conceptual drawings.

b) 60% plans, cost estimate and specs.

c) 100% package.

d) Calculations and recommendations as necessary in each stage.

The USFS will have 12 calendar days, to review each submittal and return. The AE shall factor 2 +/- hours for review time on a Teams Call with USFS.

4) The USFS will provide coversheet, title block, Box Drive for file delivery, 010150 sample spec, site plan and location map as pdfs for construction documents.

5) Provide a specification package including the 010150 JCC Specification provide.

6) Provide a cost estimate with sufficient detail to each item for later breakdown of bids shall be provided. Federal jobs use Davis Bacon wages (basically union wages).

7) AE to provide all files at completion of project. Base files such as Word, Excel, ACAD, and a PDF of the final documents.

5. Base Item No. 5-Frenchburg (FRE). Lift Station Generators

b. Payment: The contract lump sum price as shown in the Schedule of Items includes all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals to:

1) The existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) was installed in 2007 with no backup generator system for either the wastewater treatment system, or the 2 Lift Stations. The State of Kentucky requires that all lift stations with less‐than‐minimum off power storage capacity to have a backup generator in place. Recent and more recurring power outages are causing issues with plant downtime, and often nearly kill off the plant's bug population.

2) Work will consist of the following:

a) Generator #1 will serve Lift Station #1 and all the WTTP facilities, including the treatment plant buildings and the influent area.

b) Generator #2 will serve Lift Station #2, which is north of the

Carpentry Building (Bldg. 534)

c) Generator #3 will serve Lift Station #3, which is at the Culinary

Arts Building. (Bldg. 577). This will be a replacement of an existing generator that also serves the Culinary Arts Building.

(Bldg. 577) (250kw, exterior rated with ATS). The existing generator is currently not working, and the Center has been told

MULTIPLE CENTER AE SOW/TO-6

by a contractor that parts are no longer available, due to its age.

Most of the cooking equipment in this building has been changed from electric to gas, so that the replacement generator can most likely be downsized compared to the existing.

3) Evaluate using engineering practices and principles, industry standards, and current ICC International Codes and current NFPA standards.

4) Provide the following for review in stages(a-c):

a) Conceptual drawings.

b) 60% plans, cost estimate and specs.

c) 100% package.

d) Calculations and recommendations as necessary in each stage.

The USFS will have 12 calendar days, to review each submittal and return. The AE shall factor 2 +/- hours for review time on a Teams Call with USFS.

5) The USFS will provide coversheet, title block, Box Drive for file delivery, 010150 sample spec, site plan and location map as pdfs for construction documents.

6) Provide a specification package including the 010150 JCC Specification provide.

7) Provide a cost estimate with sufficient detail to each item for later breakdown of bids shall be provided. Federal jobs use Davis Bacon wages (basically union wages).

8) AE to provide all files at completion of project. Base files such as Word, Excel, ACAD, and a PDF of the final documents.

9) If this option is awarded, it will add 45 days to the contract.

2.6 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work shall be prepared by professional engineer, any state where the work is to be done is constructed.

2.7 DELIVERABLES

a. The work will be uploaded to a Box Folder provide by the government.

b. Final reports shall have PE stamp and signature.

2.8 PROJECT LEADER

a. William S. Knaack Jr, will be the Government Engineer conducting the reviews, answering questions and the COR for the contract. He can be reached at William.knaack@usda.gov.
