About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for federal contract opportunity 12905B25Q0061, relating to an electrical wiring installation project for a steam generator at the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in Hilo, Hawaii. The Q&A addresses two specific inquiries: first, confirmation that contractors can coordinate with steam generator installers to minimize downtime, with the clarification that an electrician will make the actual electrical connection; second, verification that as-built architectural and electrical drawings for the Work Room at the Headhouse are available as Attachment 5, though with the important note that some electrical modifications may not be depicted on these drawings.

Questions and Answers for 12905B25Q0061

Q1. Will we be able to coordinate with the steam generator installers to minimize downtime?

A1. Yes. Also note that the electrician is going to be the one who actually makes the connection, not the steam generator installers. Once the electrical is ready, we will coordinate with the steam generator manufacturer to put the steam generator in its foot print, and the electrician can make the connection.

Q2. Is there a copy of the as—built Architectural (at least the floor plan) and Electrical drawings for the Work Room at the Headhouse?

A2. The available as-built is provided as Attachment 5. Please note that some electrical modifications have been done which are not depicted on these drawings.
