J- 3 - Quality Assurance Checklist – Daily and Weekly Cleaning Services

Cleaning Schedule

Bi-Weekly – Restrooms (Wednesday and Saturday)

Floors swept or wet mopped or scrubbed with a disinfectant as needed

Water closets and urinals washed and sanitized (No rust encrustations remaining, traps fee of odor)

Washbasins cleaned

Mirrors, shelving, dispensers, chromium fixtures damp-wiped & polished

All other surfaces spot-cleaned and horizontal surfaces dusted

Paper towel waste receptacles emptied; paper, trash or spillages policed

Towel, soap and toilet paper dispensers serviced

Soiled areas wiped clean on walls

Bi-Weekly – General Office (Wednesday and Saturday)

All carpet traffic areas vacuumed

Drinking fountain wiped down (if applicable), breakroom tables and cabinetry

Glass door surfaces spot cleaned

All trash receptacles emptied

Weekly – Room Cleaning

Furniture dusted including tops of storage cabinets, bookcases, and other office equipment

Window sills, window blinds, wall pictures and ledges throughout offices, hallways, and restrooms are dusted

Door facings are dusted and counter tops wiped off

Glass doors are cleaned in bookcase sections (inside and out), no fingerprints, dirt or dust

Carpets under desks are vacuumed, mats cleaned and replaced

Carpet areas vacuumed removing dirt, dust and litter, including corners and edges adjacent to wall

Tile floors damp mopped using cleaning agent and all black marks are removed

Weekly - Lobbies and Corridors

Inside and outside entrances cleaned

Weekly – Storage Space

Storage room clean and free of clutter

Weekly – Room Cleaning – the office areas and the corridor areas

Wastebaskets have a trash can liner, have been emptied and wastepaper/trash removed to dumpster

Trash placed in tied garbage bags and placed in trash dumpster outside of building

Carpeted and uncarpeted areas are vacuumed

Horizontal surfaces of desks are dusted

Soiled areas on walls are wiped clean

Light bulbs and fluorescent tubes inspected and new lights installed as needed

Weekly – Lobbies and Corridors

Floors are vacuumed

Receptionist counter damp wiped, free from dust, dirt and fingerprints

Soiled areas on walls are wiped clean

Drinking fountains cleaned with scale remover, germicide and deodorants

Weekly - Outside Entrances

Building entrances swept clean of dirt, dust and snow

Foyer Entrances swept and vacuumed

Glass and kick-plates on both sides of entrance and foyer doors cleaned and polished

Monthly

Wastepaper receptacles damp wiped inside and out, liners replaced as needed

Spots on carpets removed

Quarterly

Windows are washed inside and outside and window tracks cleaned

March and September

Venetian blinds are cleaned
