CONTINUATION OF SF30, BLOCK 14 Solicitation No.: 1284LM22Q0095 / Amendment No.: P00001
Project Name: 2022 Bordeaux Creek AOP Culvert Replacement Forest: Nebraska N.F. / Page 2 of 2
Questions and Answers:
Q: I can’t find the gradation for the foundation fill.
Response: For the gradation on the foundation fill, the spec (FP 14 704.01) has the info for this material. I got this info from the designer. It looks to me like what we want is an aggregate material that has a max. particle size of 2” and has only 6% max. fine material that passes the 200 sieve. The contractor can find something close to this and submit it for our approval. If I get more info from the designer, I’ll pass it on.
Q: I went and looked at the jobsite and what is the plan for the 10 ton bridge we have to cross to bring in all equipment and materials.
Response: The 10-ton bridge. It is on Dawes County Road – Bordeaux Creek. There are 3 other roads that can access the Little Wolf Road #723 off of Bordeaux Road. One comes in from the south and 2 come in from the east. The Offeror should be able to look on Goggle Earth and see these roads. COR would have to talk with the Dawes County Road Superintendent about any permitting.
Q: What is the plan for the staging area, can we use that turnaround and what are we doing with the grubbings and the pipe and other removals likes trees and grass?
Response: See Drawing Sheet C-02, Excavation and Specification 204.14. These state the unsuitable excavation may be disposed of at a designated site within ¼ mile (west of work site). At this time, if any large trees are cut down to facilitate work, they are to be disposed of by the contractor off Forest Service lands.
Q: Is there a spot that you have we can take grubbings or dirt or do we have to dispose ourselves.
Response: Disposed of by the contractor off Forest Service lands.
Q: Do we need to have a Quality Control Agency do this or can we have our own people do this?
Response: No, a quality control agency is NOT required. You will assign qualified personnel (employee or subcontractor) as the Quality Control Manager (QCM). Ensure to provide any subcontractor(s) information and their roles for this project. Refer to Section H (page 12) and Section L (page 32) for additional information.
Q: Will you need as-built drawings for this project done?
Response: This project does not require as-builts drawings.
But if there are any changes to the design shown on the drawings, that the Contractor shall show and provide the “approved” changes on their copy of the plans (generally in a red color, with dimensions), and provide the Contracting Officer and COR with a copy of the changes at the end of the contract, prior to submitting for final payment.
The Government will require any shop drawings for materials used as shown on the List of required Submittals so we can approve (according to the specifications and drawings) what the Contractor is proposing to do or the materials they plan on using.
Q: What is the Due date on the Bid?
Response: Date Quotes are due is September 19, 2022 by 1630 PDT. You can find this on page 1 of the SF-18 (Block 10).
Q: Is there someone that can meet me at jobsite to look at it and go over it.
Response: There is no site visit scheduled at this time, but you may contact Nathaniel Marcoe (COR) to see if there is a date/time he can schedule to meet you. His contact information is, P: 308-432-0303, Email:
