Medicine Bow/Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland Road Maintenance IDIQ

Questions and Answers

Q1: Do you have funding available to issue Task Orders in 2019?

A1: Yes.

Q2: If, for example, a Timber Sale road package gets “turned back,” would funding be immediately available to issue a Task Order for that road work?

A2: Yes. The Forest Service has 6 months to award the road work to a contract separate from the original Timber Sale contract.

Q3: Will Awardees of the IDIQ still be required to bid individual Task Orders against other Awardees?

A3: Yes

Q4: Why are Bid Bonds required for this contract?

A4: Requirement for Bid Bonds has been removed from Statement of Work

Q5: Will you be awarding contracts in both Zones of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest & Thunder Basin National Grassland?

A5: Yes, assuming enough Offers are acceptable, we’re hoping to award contracts to a wide variety of Offerors, both in size of business, and in geographic areas.

Q6: Why were the next Option Year of the IDIQs awarded in 2016 not executed?

A6: The total amount of funding awarded to all of the 2016 IDIQ contracts exceeded the funding cut-off. This was also a good opportunity to make this IDIQ more streamlined in 2019 and beyond.
