About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for Solicitation 12805B25Q0122, addressing a parking lot repair and concrete pad project at the Center for Grain and Animal Health Research in Manhattan, Kansas. The quote submission deadline has been extended to April 23, 2024, at 1 p.m. Central Time. Key clarifications include: personnel roles can be combined (Superintendent, SSHO, and QC Manager can be the same individual), no specific phasing requirements exist, and detailed specifications were provided for underlayment base course quantities, bike rack concrete pad dimensions (72"X24"X12"), and drive entrance demolition and replacement.
The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside with a project value between $25,000 and $100,000, under NAICS code 237310 (Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction). Additional details from the Q&A include confirmation that it is not a design-build project, no engineered drawings are required, no asbestos or lead tests have been conducted, a tax-exempt certificate will be provided by the government, and the concrete specification is 4,000 PSI. The project involves multiple specific repair areas including an equipment pad, west side pothole repair, drive entrance area, and a bike rack installation, with the USDA potentially assisting with security camera relocation as needed.
