About this file

Amendment 0001 is a detailed specification document for feedlot pellets procurement by the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC). The document outlines five contract line items (CLINs) for different types of nutritional pellets, specifying precise nutritional requirements including protein content, minerals, vitamins, and additives. Quantities range from 3 to 400 tons, with delivery methods including both bulk and bagged options.

Delivery specifications require staggered deliveries throughout the performance period, with at least weekly increments and advance notification. Bulk product deliveries must use an auger delivery truck, and contractors must confirm delivery appointments 24 hours in advance. The place of performance is the PA U.S. Meat Animal Research Center in Clay Center, Nebraska, with facility access provided during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm). Each pellet type has unique nutritional specifications, such as varying levels of monensin, crude protein, calcium, and other essential nutrients for cattle feeding research and development.
