Emergency Swine Feed FY24

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Background and Purpose:

Scientists at the Roman L. Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) are developing scientific information and new technology to solve high priority problems for the U.S. beef, sheep, and swine industries. A large portion of our effort is in the swine industry and following is a list of feed rations required to feed our swine population.

2. Technical Requirements:

The contractor shall provide swine feed rations in the approximate quantities listed. Amounts vary based on number and maturity of animals at a given time. Contract shall continue until the dollar amount has been reached rather than the quantity of the individual rations.

3. Quality Control Services Required by Vendor:

a. Vendor will make regular contact with Danny Trausch (402-762-4120) to assure the product provided is meeting the expected standards.

• “Regular contact” is defined as a phone call or an onsite visit every 60 days.

4. Deliverable/Schedule/Address:

a. Vendor will need to coordinate with feed mill operations to make delivery schedule. First delivery of feed will need to be within 5 days of award. Generally, the feed will be delivered once per week or on an as needed basis throughout 2024 with the feed mill operations providing a list of rations and amount of each ration to deliver a week before delivery of ration is anticipated. The vendor will need to provide a ticket of amount of feed delivered of each ration. The deliveries will begin upon award and continue until dollar amount of contract is exhausted but no later than 12/31/2024. Deliveries are to be made in the timeframe of Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm.
