Performance Work Statement

Garbage Collection and Document Destruction

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Background and Purpose:

Scientists at the Roman L. Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) are developing scientific information and new technology to solve high priority problems for the U.S. beef, sheep, and swine industries. As part of the support effort, garbage collection and document destruction are required.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

2.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:

2.1 Contractor owned waste and document containers:

2.1.1 6 each – 8 CY Dumpster

2.1.2 1 each - 6 CY Dumpster

2.1.3 3 each – 4 CY Dumpster

2.1.4 3 each - 1.5 CY Dumpster

2.1.5 2 each - Document carts approximately 41x22x22” in size

2.2 Weekly trash removal for waste containers.

2.3 Monthly document destruction and removal.

2.3.1 Documents shall be destroyed to the to the ‘pierce and tear’ method at a minimum, which is ¾ inch by 2.5 inches.

2.4 Roll off recyclable container

2.4.1 Contractor shall empty and dispose of roll off recyclable container contents once annually.

2.5 Contractor shall ensure that all waste and document containers provided are in a serviceable condition. Replacement of any unserviceable containers shall not be at the governments expense.
