52.212-2 Evaluation – Commercial Items (Oct 2014)

The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers:

Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA), evaluation method.

Technically Acceptable is defined as:

1) Meeting all requirements as defined in the solicitation, to include Quote submission documents referenced in FAR 52.212-1. Failure to submit ANY of the required documents listed will render your quote non-responsive and thus not eligible for award.

2) Technical Capability – The Contractor shall have the capability to comply with all requirements in the PWS, including a 1-hour emergency response capability. Additionally, certification as an authorized CAT Dealer is a requirement to be Technically Acceptable.

3) Acceptable rating in “Past Performance.”

The lowest priced quote will be evaluated for adherence on an acceptable/unacceptable basis. If the lowest priced quote is found to be in compliance with the solicitation, then no further evaluations will be conducted
