About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation Number 127EAX25Q0007, a pipe rail fence project for the Tonto National Forest. The project aims to control visitor parking and camping overflow at the Picket Post Trailhead by installing a pipe rail fence to prevent resource encroachment and delineate designated use areas. The government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract between $25,000 and $100,000, with a 60-day delivery timeline after award.

The Q&A addresses two specific contractor inquiries: first, regarding bonding costs (with guidance that contractors should obtain their own estimates), and second, confirming that email submission of bids is preferred to the contracting officer at blaine.greenwalt@usda.gov. The solicitation specifies Davis Bacon wage determination AZ20250048 applies, and bidders are instructed to include the solicitation number in their response document. The project is being managed by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service.
