About this file

This document contains responses to requests for information (RFIs) related to federal contract number 127EAW23R0050 for roof replacement at the Van Vleck Bunkhouse. The RFI responses specify that LED lighting fixtures meeting wet location ratings are required, both interior and exterior. Metal roof panels in a Pantone green shade with vertical ribs and standing seams are to be installed, along with matching flashing and accessories from galvanized or aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel. Raceway for electrical wiring should match the wall color. A solar power system is optional and would need to provide backup for ten days, given the location receives snow. Snow guards are also required. A site visit is optional but failure to visit does not constitute grounds for claims. A wiring diagram is provided for illustrative purposes.

Panel seams are mechanically seamed in field (180 degree lock seam). Panels are formed with vertical ribs at panel edges and intermediate stiffening ribs (striations) symmetrically spaced between ribs; designed for sequential installation by mechanically attaching panels to substrate using fixed or floating concealed clips located under one side of panels, engaging opposite edge of adjacent panels, and snapping panels together. Seam is then mechanically seamed with SuperLok, or similar, field crimping and seaming tool.

FLASHING

Metallic-Coated Steel Sheet: Provide zinc-coated (galvanized) steel sheet according to ASTM A 653/A 653M, G90 (Z275) coating designation; prepainted by coil-coating process to comply with ASTM A 755/A 755M.
