Subsequent versions of this document will contain questions from all previous versions.
Q1: What is the diameter of the CMP to receive new lids?
A1: The CMP sizes vary between 24"- 36"; exact sizes will need to be field verified by the Contractor.
Q2: Is there a spec on the new Hose Bibs for the option bid item?
A2: Hose bibbs will not be replaced. The bid option is for the replacement of PVC distribution line only.
Q3: The specifications, 33-11-13 (2.03) call for “bedding material” and “select fill” around the pipe. Will screened, existing, (native) material be allowable?
A3: Screened native material will not be allowable around the pipe.
Q4: The campground appears to have paved/chip sealed access and parking. If the option item is awarded, the water line will be replaced under sections of pavement. Does the contractor need to saw-cut and repave the trench line in these areas?
A4: If the water line is under the road surface the Contractor will need to saw cut the surface, replace the water line, backfill trench and compact; top layer of compacted fill shall be at the same elevation as surrounding road surface.
Q5: If paving is required at trench crossings, will an aggregate base section and compaction testing be required? If so, what depths of structural section are preferred?
A5: See A4 above
Q6: The spec section, 33-11-13 (2.01), mentions multiple pipe material types. Please confirm that all new pipe is to be of PVC material, and so priced for the base and option bid items.
A6: Above ground pipe is galvanized, below ground pipe is PVC.
Q7: Please clarify if all above ground pipe, valves, and ports located within with DI boxes to be rigid (steel, galvanized) and insulated?

A8: Amendment 0001 for tank replacement will be posted to this solicitation.
Q9: Will the campground be open to the public during construction?
A9: Portions of the campground not impacted by construction may remain open to the public.
Q10: Please confirm that the campground water system can be “turned off” during the construction period.
A10: The water system will be "turned off" during the construction period.
Q11: In a recent attempt to arrange a site visit, we were informed that the site is under snow and other visitors had gotten their vehicle stuck, site visit was not advised at this time. Can the response due date be extended to allow time to visit the site when it is accessible?
A11: Yes, please see amendment 0002
Q12: Due to the current snowpack on the road we cannot get to Plaskett Meadows to check out the site conditions to bid this job. The forest supervisor I talked to could not tell me when he thought the site would be accessible. Can you postpone the bid date until we can access the site?
A12: See A11 above
