12639526Q0303 – HDPE Bird Netting – Milleville, UT Revised Date: 09/18/2026 Milleville, UT -12639526Q0303 The following are questions that have been received to date 09/18/2026.

All questions will be posted with answers accordingly.

Q: The SOW requires the supporting cable/netting system to withstand anticipated snow load. Is there a specific design snow load/PSF requirement that the contractor must use?

A: structure has not been evaluated, so the contractor would be responsible for that.

Q: What is the required installation completion date or performance window?

A:We are pretty flexible but sooner is better.

Q: Are existing netting attachment cables to be use or are all new cables and hardware to be installed?

A: This will likely need all new cables and hardware, but there are fence posts in place

Q: What attachment methods are permitted at the central building? Are penetrations allowed?

A: This is at the contractor’s recommendation. Penetrations are allowed.

Q: Are the pen dividers chain link? Or just the perimeter making the dividers netting?

A: The pens are currently chain link on all sides. Some of the pen dividers have chain link, but that can be removed.

Q: Will USDA remove the chain-link material from the interior divider posts before installation, as indicated in the Statement of Work?

Yes.

Q: May the six pens be covered using one continuous net with secured internal separation lines, or must each pen have an individually fabricated net panel?

A: As long as it is not possible for the birds from one pen to move into the other it does not matter if it is one continuous net or individual fabricated panels.

Q: Must the system provide removable or operable access panels above the existing 10-foot gates?

A: The program is not sure what they mean by access panels, but the gate needs to be able to open and close to allow personnel to access the pen.

Q: Please confirm whether the work site is the Millville address at 4200 S 600 E Cache County Road or the Utah State University delivery address in Logan.

A: It is the Millville address.

Q: Will the pens be empty during installation, or must work be coordinated around animals or ongoing facility operations?

A: Pens will be empty.

Q: Is a Utah Contactors License required?

A: The program am not sure on this one.
