Questions and Answers, High Game Fence Project, Solicitation 12639522R0052

1. In regard to section 4.24, can you please specify which type post to quote? It lists 3 different types, and all have significant price differences.

10’ galvanized t-posts, 2 7/8” X 12’ min. oil field pipe for line post and double H braces, 4” X 12’ min. for corner braces and gate braces.

2. Do metal posts need to be hot dipped galvanized?

No, primed & painted.

3. Can you please confirm that CAD drawing will be required? Rheta?

This is basically a design build type project. The contractor should provide drawings/sketches of how the fence will be installed for review and concurrence. Hand drawn drawings/sketches are unacceptable. This allows the Government to know the thought process of how the contractor is installing gates, angles, straight runs, tie-ins, grounding, etc. In addition, it provides a record for any future installations.

4. During the site visit it was stated that in the Jenkins tract only a space of 6 ft can be cleared, not 10-20 ft as stated in the SOW. Can you please verify that this is the case? Only a 6 ft trail may be cleared with a brush mulcher through any brush on the Jenkins tract.

5. Please confirm no topsoil or reseeding will be required.

Correct, no topsoil or seeding will be required.

6. 4.11 - contact CFTEP personal to inspect / disinfect equipment.......approximately how long does this process take? Is this for personnel? and personnel vehicles? or equipment only? Is this daily? Is this the Jenkins tract only?

Required for Jenkins tract only. Only equipment used to clear brush, move dirt or dig holes. (No personnel C&D) An Inspector can be there within an hour. (Best to give as much advance notice as possible)

7. High Game Fence - Item 4.24 reinforce fencing every 15 feet with concrete anchored 2 7/8 upset oil field tubing, install 4 - 10ft. galv. t- posts.....please confirm the 2 7/8" posts are spaced 75 feet apart with 4 - t-posts between at 15 feet apart.

Correct.

8. Exhibit B - 15 ft. distance from steel pole to steel pole.......is this 15 ft. from 2 7/8" post to 2 7/8" post? or 15 ft. spacing between every post & t-post? I believe what is meant to be a 2 7/8" post every 75 feet with 4 galv. t-posts equally spaced at 15 ft apart between.

Correct.

9. Attachment 4 - 22.355+ AC Boundary at Fm106 & centerline rd. - which proposal does this fall under? proposal # 1 or # 2? J Northwest portion as shown on Figure 5B on Proposal #2. (Bottom picture of page 31) doesn’t have attachment #4. Can’t answer
