About this file

This is an Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Competitive Quotes (RFCQ) issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the ESB OR 58 MP 86 Stockpile Fence Project. The addendum extends the bid closing date to February 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. and replaces the original technical specifications document with a revised version containing updates highlighted in green in Exhibit 1. The project involves construction of a stockpile fence with specific requirements for gate openings, wire fencing, and structural components. Key clarifications provided address gate specifications (both openings to be 24 feet with two 12-foot gates), acceptable gate types (Powder River Rancher gates permitted), material options for braces (paint or galvanized acceptable), fence wire configuration (minimum two strands with no barbs in four runs), wire gauge (either 12.5 or 15.5 gauge acceptable), and hinge attachment methods (bolted hinges with welded bolts to prevent theft permitted). The fence construction allows flexibility in stays materials (wood or metal acceptable) and brace construction (oil field pipe permitted with appropriate finishing).

No specific pricing information, set-asides, incumbent vendors, or funding sources are detailed in this addendum document. The addendum serves primarily to clarify technical specifications and extend the submission timeline based on bidder inquiries submitted prior to the original deadline. Contact for additional information is Carolee Will at the Oregon Department of Transportation, reachable via email at Carolee.s.will@odot.oregon.gov or by phone at 503-910-5197.
