Discussion:

• COR Jonathan Meeks introduced himself.

• Bid due date 4/23/18

• AGAR 452.215-71 Instructions for the preparation of technical and business proposals.

o COR pointed out section on page 34 and 35, so everyone knew what should be included in the bid proposal.

• Section M o COR indicated how proposals will be evaluated.

• Plans o Described the project having two main improvements, parking area paving and drainage.

o Sheet C-2.

Noted that plans/specs say some existing boulders may have to be moved and some minor clearing (5” dbh or less) is part of the work but is incidental to the other main pay items.

o Sheet C-4.

Noted existing aggregate needs to be loosened 2-3”, prior to placing new aggregate.

Specifications state that COR will layout elevations of ditch-lines and culverts.

Attachment No. 1 12569R18R0007 Whirlpool Parking Area Paving Amendment 1 o Sheet C-6 Noted that specifications have quantities of pavement markings.

o Sheet C-7 Reviewed shoulder detail.

• Section C/ Specifications o Noted Period of Performance of 25 days and must start after Labor Day.

o Section 151, discussed the requirement to power wash equipment before and after project is complete.

o Section 152, discussed that a third party surveyor is required to layout the site.

No elevations are required.

o Section 204, discussed that all earthwork activities fall under the 204 pay items, and that excess material would need to be placed outside of wooded area.

o Section 301, discussed that an independent testing company will have to take density tests of the aggregate.

o Section 401, discussed that an independent testing company will have to take density tests of the asphalt.

o Section 602, discussed that there are 3 different culverts required for the project, which includes needed materials to connect/band culvert sections. Also discussed that 2 products are listed, but approved equals may also be used.

o Section 625, discussed the need for a very specific specialty seed mix and where to locate it.

o Section 635, discussed the requirements to close off the site during construction and that the site is a known problem site for users trying to get back to the launch during construction activities.
