Cattle Grazing Allotment Tree Removal

05/21/2019

Government’s responses are in red

I am looking to find out the location of the jobsite.

Location: Jackson Township T34N R10E Section 35 and also see attached map 1 (the coordinates in the lower right are the coordinates for the project site) The areas on map 2 outlined in purple are the sites for tree removal to take place; the red line designates a 5-strand barbed wire fence (the sites are located within a cattle grazing allotment)

Is the tree removal at the discretion of the contractor?

Keep” trees will be marked (with paint and flagging) by the COR before project work begins

If we remove these trees, then can the contractor utilize any wood product salvaged for commercial and other business reasons? In other words, can we re-sell the lumber or can we build products from them?

Salvage Rights The contractor is not permitted to purchase salvage rights to material to be treated within the project.

The Contractor shall not be permitted to use any kind of logging equipment to yard salvaged materials from the project units to the roads.

Contractor is required to chip all material in COR designated sites then hauled off from FS land.

Can saplings be saved for greenhouse, transplant, and or research purposes?

The contractor may not utilize/re-sell any wood product salvaged nor may they save saplings for any reason

File details come from the government source that posted it.
