About this file

This document provides an amendment to the solicitation for horse herd farrier services at the Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Field Research Implementation and Information Delivery Midwest Area. The amendment answers five questions from potential offerors. No site visit is scheduled to see the horses, which are typical quarter horse and thoroughbred size, including two mules. Standing sedation will be used as needed on horses requiring it, as determined by USDA veterinary staff. The USDA has safety measures in place including dedicated clothing for personnel and PPE. Offerors are instructed to submit quotes in accordance with SAM.GOV instructions, by filling out the attached schedule of prices and emailing the quote, and including their SAM UEI and details of technical capability. The onsite veterinarian will be provided by the USDA, not the contractor.
