About this file
This is a Vendor Question and Answer document providing clarifications for the OTF FR 2130 Perch Lake Road Rehabilitation project, a Request for Quotes (RFQ) issued by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service under solicitation number 12445526Q0056. The document addresses three key vendor inquiries regarding project logistics and waste material disposal procedures.
The document provides specific GPS coordinates for two critical project sites: the Bush Creek aggregate/gravel pit (accessible via Forest Road 3350) at coordinates 46.265992, -88.765509, and the Six Mile riprap source pit (accessible via Forest Road 3642) at coordinates 46.406697, -88.877385. Regarding waste material handling, the Q&A clarifies that suitable material may be cast and spread within the right-of-way as directed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), or alternatively hauled to the Bush Creek Pit; however, the specific ratio of in-ROW disposal versus off-site hauling will be determined in the field as construction progresses due to unknown waste quantities. The document confirms that the Bush Creek Pit is currently the only COR-approved waste disposal site, though the government indicates willingness to identify and share locations of any additional approved pits with the contractor as needed.

Vendor Q and A
1. Can you provide exact coordinates (lat/long or UTM) for both the Bush Creek aggregate/gravel pit and the designated riprap source pit so I can input them directly into GPS?
Answer: Coordinates for Bush Creek pit (access via FR 3350): 46.265992, -88.765509 Coordinates for Six Mile pit (access via FR 3642): 46.406697, -88.877385
1. For waste material — Note 3 allows casting and spreading unsuitable material within the ROW as directed by the COR, or hauling to Bush Creek Pit. Roughly how much in-ROW disposal will the COR allow versus what must be hauled to Bush Creek?
Answer: I would say this question will be addressed in the field as construction progresses. The quantity of waste is an unknown, so naturally the quantity of each method of handling is unknown at this point.
1. Are there any additional COR-approved waste sites besides Bush Creek Pit?
Answer: Per my awareness, no. But I am certainly willing to navigate, identify, and share location of any added pit with the contractor.
