About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the Saucier HEF Janitorial federal contract opportunity (Solicitation Number 12444725Q0020). The Q&A provides clarification on various aspects of the janitorial services contract, including previous contract details, product requirements, and service expectations. Key details include that the previous contract (12456820P0013) was awarded to Arth LLC for $9,360 for 12 months, and the new contract will involve annual carpet shampooing and use of bio-based cleaning products.

The document specifies that contractors must use cleaning products meeting USDA Bio-preferred Program standards across multiple categories, with varying minimum bio-based content requirements ranging from 7% to 97%. Consumable supplies will be provided by Forestry Services, with the contractor responsible for notifying the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) when supplies are low. The COR will be on-site most of the time during cleaning services, and the contract includes annual reporting requirements for bio-based products. Mop heads can be hung to dry between uses and washed off-site as needed, and carpet shampooing will occur once per year during work hours.
