About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation Number 12444126Q0010 concerning Cheoah and Tusquitee Ranger District Water Sampling and Testing. The document does not address specific products or services required, pricing terms, or contract award details, but rather clarifies operational questions raised by potential offerors.
The Q&A addresses four key inquiries: (1) gallon meters are already installed in each wellhouse with no additional installation required; (2) hypo-chlorinator devices currently in use may vary by location but function identically; (3) site visits cannot be formally scheduled due to the geographic separation of locations across the districts, though offerors may visit sites independently at their discretion; and (4) for emergency parts repairs, offerors should provide hourly labor rates for line items 0005 and 0006 without including estimated parts costs, as parts will be estimated separately and require Contracting Officer Representative (COR) approval at the time repairs are needed.

Questions and Answers
Q: Are there meters at every location or do they need to be installed?
A: There are gallon meters in each wellhouse. There should be no need to install additional meters.
Q: What chlorinator devices are currently in use?
A: Hypo-chlorinator devices may differ at each location, but overall, the function is the same for each one.
Q: Is a site visit able to be scheduled for this week?
A: Unlikely, as the locations are separated across each District and would involve hours of driving time to visit each location. All sites are public. Offerors may visit the sites on their own and follow up with any questions.
Q: For emergency parts repairs, since the cost of parts may vary depending on the situation, would you prefer an estimated parts cost included in the hourly labor rate, or should parts be estimated separately?
A: Parts would be estimated separately with approval from the COR at the time of emergency repairs. For the schedule of items, hourly labor as requested in line items 0005 and 0006 should be provided.
