About this file
This document contains questions and answers from a GRO Multi Roofs site visit on 1/30/25, with 21 questions addressing technical specifications and requirements for a roof replacement project across four buildings. The Q&A covers metal roof panel installation requirements, siding options, gutter specifications (6" required instead of 5" specified), snow guard placement, underlayment materials, water damage repairs, and project area definitions for each building (Administration, Raider Dorm, Shirley Dorm, and Ranger building).
Key clarifications include: metal roof panels should be full length from eave to ridge unless restricted by shipping; Smartside siding can be installed horizontally; 16" standing seam panels are acceptable instead of 12" if meeting specifications; no progress payments will be allowed (payments per FAR Clause 52.232-5); temporary chain-link fencing and overhead protection are required for occupied buildings; and a single person can fulfill the roles of Quality Control Manager, Safety Officer, and Superintendent. The document includes floor plans with highlighted project areas for each building and notes that contractors must field verify exact measurements for roofing square footage and gutter linear footage.
